Octaspire
Octaspire is a three-dimensional cone of the chemical elements. Each cube is one element. Hold a cube to play. Every element with a stored frequency sounds using that element’s resonant frequency.
Those pitches are NMR Larmor analogs: the nuclear precession frequency quoted at 9.4 tesla (where ¹H is 400 MHz) is played as hertz, so the chemist’s ratio is audible — not real NMR radio. The cone takes its spiral-of-octaves shape from Walter Russell’s 1926 wavelength-spiral periodic table. The instrument itself is Rory Vining’s.

Octaspire (3D)
- Hold a cube to play; several fingers = chords.
- Swipe to orbit, including from above or below. Pinch to zoom.
- The bar shows name, atomic number, atomic weight, and pitch.
- Pure sine (default), Phone band for tiny speakers, optional Organic overtones.
- Rec saves notes and mixed WAV to the Library.
Keyboard
Two octaves at A4 = 440 Hz. Hold keys for chords. Voices: piano, organ, e-piano, strings, clav, 80s synth, or a sample you sing or play. Rec saves notes, WAV and sheet music.
Russell spiral
2D homage to the 1926 chart. Pinch, pan, hold outlined elements to play. Same Rec / Pure / Phone controls as the cone.
Voice Trainer
- Pick Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Alto or Soprano so every scale sits in your range.
- Hear the target, then sing. Gold band = in tune. Two seconds masters the note.
- Record song captures melody and pauses, transcribes lyrics, and saves sheet music in the Library.
Library, tuners, resonance
Saved pieces stay on the device unless you Share them. Tuners use the microphone for live cents. Resonance modes include glass, water, sand, candle flame, and NMR isotope analogs. Phone speakers often cannot play deep bass — use Bluetooth or a real speaker.

Educational, ages 5 and up. No account, no ads, no analytics SDK. We do not collect personal information from children or anyone else. Microphone is on-device except when you ask Android to transcribe a sung song. Full policy: Privacy policy.
